Emerging Leader Programme + Q&A with Adam Goldie

Our Emerging Leaders have just completed a session on "Setting Strategic Direction", which focused on the importance of strategy and sharing the message to ensure that everyone is pulling in the same direction.

Working in teams, the Emerging Leaders completed a market and financial analysis before identifying on the agreed strategy for the company. With the strategy identified, our Emerging Leaders then presented their analysis and strategic pitch to the “Board of Directors”.

Thank you to our Board of Directors (Iain Sinclair, Mike Bathurst, Adam Macleay, Sarah Dunn and Steven Ferguson) for supporting our Emerging Leaders on their growth journey.

Q&A With Emerging Leader, Adam Goldie

Throughout the programme, we are introducing our Emerging Leaders individually. We recently caught up with Adam Goldie, who is a Process Safety Engineer at Mabbett.

"I have 6 years’ experience in the nuclear, manufacturing and now consulting industries, although safety has been the key focus throughout. In terms of who or what inspired me to pursue the career I have today, I have always loved maths, with chemistry quickly becoming my second favourite subject. Chemical Engineering is the perfect blend of both."

"Working within the Group at Mabbett, a professional accomplishment that I’m proud of is updating the COMAH report, which was part of secondment for the Grants Girvan distillery. Looking ahead, by this time next year, I hope to be chartered - I believe this is an achievable reality."

"At work a key motivator and something that energies me is the challenge – both technical and professional. And when it comes to core values, 'integrity' means the most to me – both from a safety lens and personal view."
